Dal 14 al 16 ottobre 2024 si sono svolte le attività volte alla celebrazione della XXIV SETTIMANA DELLA LINGUA ITALIANA NEL MONDO incentrata sul tema, “L’italiano e il libro: il mondo fra le righe”.
L’evento, sotto l’Alto Patrocinio del Presidente della Repubblica, è stato promosso dall’Ambasciata d’Italia in collaborazione con l’Università di Douala e del Vice Consolato Onorario. Il programma è stato realizzato dalla nostra lettrice di italiano, dott.ssa Antonia Zanda con l’appassionata partecipazione degli studenti. Fra loro figurano: Kathia Lukrene, che ha creato e letto, “MAMMA”, una poesia SLAM e Rita Stendhal, la quale si è cimentata nell’interpretazione di ” La viola d’inverno”, di Roberto Vecchioni.
Il Console Onorario, Mauro Battistella, ha dialogato con gli studenti sul significato della letteratura quale strumento di accesso alla conoscenza. L’ antropologa, Monica Dal Pos, ha tenuto il laboratorio di lettura e di analisi dei registri linguistici di un testo.
Il titolo del laboratorio “Limbe – New – York. Venezia – Douala: l’italiano in valigia. Tappe di un’identità itinerante” è tratto dal romanzo, “Siamo noi i sognatori” di Imbolo Mbue. La scrittrice americana, che è nativa di Limbe e vive a New York, dipinge con la scrittura le sfumature del farsi persona.
Douala, 4th -16th October 2024. The celebration of the 24th edition of the Italian Language Week in the World was promoted by the Italian Embassy in collaboration with the University of Douala and the Italian Honorary Consulate. The celebrate program was planed by Mrs Antonia Zanda, the Italian teacher.
The theme of this edition, ” The Italian language and the book: the world through the lines”. inspired lots of activities including contemporary Italian poetry, prose and song realized by passionate students. For instance, Kathia Lukrene created and read, “Mamma” a SLAM poetry and Rita Stendhal sang “Viola d’inverno” : a song of the Italian chansonnier, Roberto Vecchioni.
On the occasion, the Italian Honorary Consul, Mauro Battistella, has talked about the importance of reading to deeply understand humans and world where we live in. Indeed, the anthropologist Monica Dal Pos hold the reading workshop, “Limbe – New – York. Venice – Douala: the Italian language in the suitcase. Identity building in and across books and translations”.
The reading workshop was based on the novel “Behold the Dreamers” written by Imbolo Mbue, an American novelist, native of Limbe and living in New York.
